Damn Small Linux is a revolutionary and versatile Linux distribution in a small size (just 50MB) and especially oriented towards Windows desktops. Damn Small Linux can do the following:
* Start up directly from a CD.
* Start up from a USB pendrive.
* Start up from within another operating system (like Windows, for example).
* Transform itself into a Debian distribution with a traditional disc installation.
* It is sufficiently lightweight to work even with a 486DX with 16MB of RAM memory.
* It runs completely in the RAM memory with only 128MB. The speed at which it can reach your PC will surprise you.
* It is easily extended thanks to modules.
The Damn Small Linux download file is a CD .ISO image. You only have to record it to a disc, or even mount the image directly to install the operating system.
